DOMENICA 29 SETTEMBRE 2019 SESSIONE INANELLAMENTO PROGETTO MONITRING
Apertura reti: ore 6,30 – Temperatura: 15°C – Meteo: Parzialmente nuvoloso.
Chiusura: ore 12,30 – Temperatura: 28 °C.
Catturati un totale di 164 animali, tra i quali nessun migratore a lungo raggio, ma capinere e pettirossi abbondanti. Si tratta della prima sessione di questo autunno senza trans-sahariani, a confermare che ormai il cambio di stagione (ornitologica) è avvenuto. Di interessante, è stata catturata una capinera femmina in muta completa con primarie e secondarie ancora in muta attiva e un giovane di capinera che al contrario non aveva ancora cominciato la muta post-giovanile.
Di rilievo anche la cattura di 31 Usignoli del Giappone (Leiothrix lutea) , numero che costituisce il record giornaliero per la stazione. Anche in questo caso alcuni esemplari stavano ultimando la muta delle primarie. Rimane però da confermare la provenienza di questi animali, che non sono presenti in zona nel periodo riproduttivo.

We mist-netted a total of 164 birds, and for the first time in this season we have not captured any long range migrant. On the other hand, Blackcaps and Robins were abundant. We also ringed a Blackcap that was in active moult (both primary and secondary feathers), and a young that have not started the post-juvenile moult yet.
Remarkably, 31 individuals of the introduced Red-billed Leiothrix (Leiothrix lutea), have been ringed. This species is not present in our study area during the reproductive period but it is present only during the autumn and in winter. It would be interesting to find out where do these birds come from.
